A New Butterfly

One more picture from the Bakersfield Games. Unfortunately, my camera was running out of batteries, and, like most insects, this one didn't wait for me to make any repairs, so the best shot is still a bit fuzzy.This is a Buckeye (Junonia coenia) which are, according to something I read, supposed to be quite common even in Tehachapi, but I think I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen one. Not counting the postage stamp, but then again, I don't think I saw many of those either.
